And i don't mean garden utensils.
This is for sure, the ladeees that have come to be my friends here in Italy are some pretty stellar people. They're sort of my net, so i didn't have to fall too far, or my therapy, so i don't have to get too entrenched in bike talk, bike people, and bike stuff. Scuola was awesome, not that i learned much Italian, but i picked up some pretty sweet chicks over there. Being in a foreign country, Italy, where the Italian men are slicker than their hair gel, having these girlfriends is pretty money in the bank. Not to get too philosophical, but I'm game on for strong independent type thinking women. I don't really consider myself a trouble maker or difficult to get along with but the shoe didn't fit with my Italian team. Where we couldn't find a middle ground with the curfews and the training rides, or riding with people outside the team. So seriously, here's to independent women, esp. when the goes gets tough.

Now to theme this post with some songs
When i was asked to leave the team, Sonya and I went out and purchased me a white team Trizz jersey, and hit the podium with it in an Italian race on the way to Holland Ladies Tour.
Now i'm living the Tuscan life until CWG, i f'ing love it alot. Things have been very difficult in some ways, and it's taken some creative thinking, and some really generous friends, but man, am i lucky. Things sort of linked up with each other and i landed into a pretty sweet nest.
Loooove all waays,
Alison
