A date with Brussels

Tomorrow I leave for Qatar and yesterday I arrived from France; so that gives me a full day to grab Brussels by the balls.

I started the day off pretty pumped on the free continental breakfast pretty properly equipped with wheat free options.

Then I jumped on over to the holiday inn where its fancier and offers free Internet while I 'slum' it overnight at the express version.

Next up I rode my bike over to Leuven where I pounded a couple stellas. Nah, I kid. Rather i (vice versa of) pounded a couple watery cappuccinos along the way. Which by the way were awesome since it was really cold, yes, and in my world that means -1. Then I came back to 007 (my hotel room) that I so un-economically had the heat set on max while I washed my bike in the bath tub. Which I'm sure is a definite no no, not to mention the hotel towel I swiped from the cleaning trolly that's unfortunately no longer white.

I confess, I stole jam on a Sunday

Dad, where were you??

Very bad but I think it's so damn funny. (by the way, the kogas great, and the selle Italia is money or should I say babies in the bank)

Tell me these are not the cutest jars you've ever seen with a straight face!

Then my darling readers, that is if you're still reading :-S I jumped on the airport shuttle for dins at the airport, since after all there is selection and lots of people to observe. I quite like the arrivals area, preferably international. But no long distant lovers reconnecting this time. Boo.

Well lucky for my finances it's a Sunday and everything is closed. The worst damage done is a greasy towel, some pocketed tea, jam (and honey) and pissing the pissy waitress by using credit for a 2.40€ cappuccino. And who said Belgium was the armpit of Europe - whoops my fingers slipped. Did you notice how sunny it's been!?

Best,
Alison

Thanks for sharing the "bike showering" in the bath tub! Brilliant idea! :-)
